File Naming Rules

*
Illegal Characters
-The following characters are not allowed in file names:

¥\ / : * ? " < > |

*
File Name Generation:

-File names have this structure:”XXXX_MMDDhhmmss_0000.tif”.
“XXXX” is replaced with one of the following (in order of priority):

  (1)User-input name (Scan setting)
(2)Default file name (App2Me Scan setting)
  (3) Name auto-generated by the device

The time stamp (MMDDhhmmss)is the time that App2Me Scan receives the file, not the time when the job was processed by the scanning device.

  MM: Month
  DD: Day
  hh: Hour
  mm: Minute
  ss: Second

The 4-digit code after the time stamp indicates the page number. If a multi-page format is used, no page indicator is added.
- For example, if the default file name is “App2Me” and a 2-page document is scanned on Jan.
2 at 3:04:56, the actual file name will be “App2Me_0102030456_0001.tif” and “App2Me_0102030456_0002.tif.”
